The cost-effectiveness and production reliability of this process improves significantly compared to other products and provides maximum flexibility and time security with easy integration into all existing digital workflows.
Market: Using improved techniques, hardware and software, separation film and print template production remains a growing market. The ideal prerequisite, however, is a high-quality, universal inkjet film optimized for the latest high-speed plotter generations.
Processing: For optimal results, the new Epson plotter generation is recommended as they have a very precise piezo technique and mechanics. LFP printers – Role plotters are clearly the most economical for professional use today.
Printers and inks: for all LF inkjet printers, plotters with water-based dye and pigment inks. Latex inks are also suitable. We recommend using the original inks of Epson UltraChrome K3, UltraChrome XD, UltraChrome HDR / HDX or Canon Lucia, Lucia EX ink systems. – Not suitable for printing with oil or solvent-containing inks!
Note: The use of small printers (A4, A3) does not provide sufficient colour coverage because the settings are often only made in special RIP tools for e.g. screen-printing applications and are therefore often not supported by the usual driver settings.
For optimal dimensional stability – fit accuracy, a 24-hour climate adjustment in the processing room is recommended.
With Epson’s current generation of high-tech printers, it is usually no longer necessary to install computer-to-screen. With 1 to 3 printers and the s2d HR films, you can work quickly, cost-effectively, with high precision, completely independent of the technical service at CTScreen.
RIP software: Currently, StudioRIP is innovative as optimal price performance, as well as Systemata, MMS PPS server, EFI DotCreator, (Colorgate Filmgate somewhat high-priced) Wasatch, in combination with LF printers such as EPSON Stylus pro (K3 ink / Ultrachrome Photoblack), HP Z-Series, Canon iPF series.
